As a published author, illustrator, and former educator, I love meeting with children of all ages in Author Visits. Children have a native curiosity about everything. To tap into that, and fire up their young imaginations, is truly a joy.
I currently offer an Author Visit with my recent children’s book, Where Do Butterflies Go at Night?, 2nd Edition. An Author Visit is typically 45 minutes in length. It may be for smaller groups/classes or for as many as 100 per group, but I much prefer groups with no more than 35 children. This maximizes the benefit of the talk for them, their enjoyment and education, and allows for questions.
I am delighted to sign books for children if purchased in advance. “Butterflies” can be found online.
Please feel free to contact me for any additional details and a fee schedule.
Where Do Butterflies Go at Night?, 2nd Edition

Presentation includes a talk about butterflies, how to identify them, a discussion about pollinators and butterflies’ importance as pollinators, a reading of Where Do Butterflies Go at Night, 2nd Edition, and a Q & A at the end, if there’s time. Understanding how important our butterfly friends truly are to our world is quite inspiring to small children!
