Hi! My name is Jeanne Balsam and I’m a graphic designer, published author, editor, and illustrator. The unique combination of these skills insures that you will have a finished product you’ll be proud of. It brings me great pleasure to create a project which brings your ideas and vision to life.

I’m very excited about helping authors self-publish. I’m currently designing children’s picture books and chapter books, and may offer novels in the future. I have helped some very special people self-publish their children’s books, and I just love doing this. But I also design and lay out other publications including a bi-monthly magazine for a large humane organization; the official newsletter of a wildlife refuge; and a newsletter for an equine group. I create promotional materials for both individuals and organizations, as well as entire fundraising programs.

My background includes a BFA from Pratt Institute, post-graduate studies in the writing and illustration of children’s books, and an MA from NYU. I am an active member of SCBWI and am always expanding my knowledge in the field, as well as working with fellow authors and illustrators in refining my own writing and illustrating skills. My artwork and writing have been featured in numerous publications.

When we work together, I will bring my talent, experience, and insight to create a book or project that you will be beyond happy with.
